I have a question about

the Windows 10 password.

There doesn't appear to be a way of recovering the password, even talked to Microsoft on-line support and they had no answers.

I don't use one but after the computer going to sleep and needing the password to wake up I figured I had to try retrieving it somehow. Lucking shutting down and restarting solved that problem.

Do any of you have any answers. I did use the Windows help forum recommended by DU and so far no luck. I am not the only one.

since passwords are usually kept in a form that prevents this.

You can of course remove the sleep password, is that what you want?
