Help Magazine reader for Android

I am so totally confused with Android. I downloaded a book reader, and it reads books fine, but not magazines. Could it be that most magazines are in PDF form? I haven't figured out how to delete anything in Android yet, so I don't want to download all the readers onto my tablet, that I use while I'm waiting.

There's flip board for a magazine like experience or to sub to magazines there's google news stand.

There are tons of options for all sorts of magazine types of reading.

Maybe if you could clarify what exactly you are trying to do.

a friend gives me their e-magazines after they are through with them. I wanted to put them on my tablet to read them. I have used Foxit Pdf reader, and it reads fine, but I have no idea what I've read or really where I am in a magazine, if I open another magazine, it gets confusing. I downloaded Pocketbook which reads books fine, and shows the magazine cover in the index, but when I click on the magazine to read it looks like it is going to open the magazine and then reverts back to the index.

I know there are magazines I can subscribe to, but I can't afford them. I don't mind reading old magazines.

I used to use an app called moon reader that was very good with several formats. You might give that a look.
