Is anyone here a windows 7 admin who is getting the updates?

This is a real thing.

A program we use at work only works on Windows pre-10 and our server and main office work station is on windows 7. I’m looking for a windows 7 admin person who can share the updates.
Thanks!

End Of Life, no longer supported. That’s what we were told as impetus for pushing users off it late last year.

1. Go to Program Files in C: drive (or Program Files x86) and find the folder of the program in question.

2. Open the folder and look for the '.exe' file for the program

3. RIGHT click on the '.exe' file and select Properties (at the bottom), then the Compatibility tab

4. Now you can either click on 'Run Compatibility Troubleshooter' or

5. Tick the next box down (Compatibility Mode) and select Windows 7.

6. Probably no need to change any of the lower settings except maybe 'Run this program as Administrator' and/or 'Change settings for all users'.

7. Click Apply and close.

No guarantees that this will work, but it may just solve your problems.

contact ms and your business will have to pay for any support.

I have a business program on win7 vista, my 'workaround' is that computer is not connected to the internet. All files are saved on a back-up drive, if that computer ever 'blows up' I have a new vista cd license at hand. with my business main files not connected to the internet saves me subscription fees and the program/computer has been fast & flawless for many years.
