Cell phone question........husbands phone is up to max storage, it's a tracfone, and we're thinking

about getting a new Samsung from tracfone. I am wondering if we should just get another phone thru Version or some other company besides tracfone. Wadaya think?? I'm actually kinda afraid of getting a tracfone off the internet as I am not savvy at all when it comes to these things and he wants all his stuff on this phone transferred to the new phone. Ugh........I just don't know what to do. Help please.

First thing to try is to just connect his phone to a computer w/a USB cable. eppur_se_muova Feb 2023 #9

maybe had one or two that weren't great.

edit - I would NEVER buy a phone from verizon, even though they are my carrier. way too expensive.

and ask one of the employee for help. At mine they have a part of the store for cellphones and laptops and have a couple people there to help.

One of the staff there said they sell tracfone but they aren't supposed to help with any issues or problems. They can only help with other cell phones and NOT tracfone. So Walmart might be a help. Thanks.

I just switched from a no-name provider to T-mobile. All done thru chat on their website. They have sent me instructions, and told me to call and get help if I have any trouble at all.

Some Android phones get more storage with SD cards. If you already use one, check your manual to see if your phone would allow a bigger one.

Got a Samsung A51 with 128 GB of storage for 100 bucks. I've been very happy with it. I'd recommend checking their website for anything that they have on sale.

Yeah, it's a pain to find the right size, but many OSs will mount the phone as a removable drive w/o any additional software. You can probably just drag-and-drop all your pix to a folder on your desktop etc.
