Ipad help needed.

I have logged my Ipad onto my wifi successfully in the past. But every once in a while the Ipad will become disconnected from the wifi and I get a message some thing like this, "Can not connect" when I choose my network. My network is operating fine and I am near the router. Any ideas?

The wifi is working. Do you know how to completely power off an Ipad? nm rhett o rick Aug 2013 #3

iPads don't have a lot of diagnostic capability, to make an understatement.

Try restarting the iPad first. Hold down to on/off button on the upper right edge and the Home button simultaneously. Hold them for at least 10 seconds. The screen will go blank and then the apple (or is it the gear??) will appear. The device will reboot. That should clear any cobwebs that accumulated.

If that fails, restart your router . . . . but if you have to do that a lot, you are probably having other wifi problems, too.

Good luck.

avail. At that time we had one Ipad and two Iphones that would not connect but our laptop was connected.

I rebooted the modem and router and was able to log the lap top in but not the Ipad. We left the house and came back in about two hours and the Ipad and Iphones automatically logged on.

Thanks for the help.
