1. Clear the cache, then reload the site. This will force Firefox to get new images from the site, rather than rely on potentially corrupted images in your cache.

To clear your cache, go to "Tools", then "Options", select the "Advanced" tab, and then the "Network" tab. Click the "clear now" button as shown below. Then go back to Yahoo.

2. Make sure Firefox and your plugins are up to date.

Go to "Help", then "About Firefox". This should show you the version you're running, and if there's an update available.

Then go to "Tools", then "Add-Ons". Select "Plugins" on the left. You should see a link at the top "Check to see if your plugins are up to date". If some are out of date (particularly Flash), click on "Update Now".

Then restart Firefox and go to the site.

But thanks for directing me to plugins. I noticed that the last update date on shockwave was the date when I first encountered the problem. I disabled it and now all is back as before. Maybe next time, I will just check all updates. I do so appreciate your taking the time to make things so clear and for just being so darn helpful. Cyber hugs!!!
