This Tech has never, ever seen this problem. It has me WTF!

I'll try to make it short.
Customer has good Motherboard..Asus Sabertooth 900, 16 gig ram, Windows 7 pro, nice power supply (1200 watts)
and not much "Junk" on system.

When she runs Adobe Audition 3 or higher..(forgot what...ah...CS6 ??) . anyway...SOMETIMES a song she has on wav format will
slow down.
I don't mean slowdown like putting your finger on the edge of a turntable..I mean like having a small part of the song actually slowdown and keep the same pitch...as if you set it up like that on purpose (as you can with Audition).

It's entirely random and you may have to play 6-10 songs before it will "do it" for 5-10 seconds and at DIFFERENT parts of the song.

Like: Happy birthday to you, Happy b-I-r-t-h-d-a-y- t-o you, happy birthday dear repug. happy birthday to you.
Keep in mind the next 20 times you play a song it may or may not do the weird thing. ..and in a different place.

Boy...this is a new one on me.

Adobe Audition has real time clip stretching... PoliticAverse Sep 2013 #1
I've thought about that. Maybe I could take out the DLL file that controls the process... BlueJazz Sep 2013 #2
Or maybe just uninstall the whole thing and then install it back. PoliticAverse Sep 2013 #3

See if that changes anything.

Also maybe it's possible to disable clip stretching as an option in the menus somewhere.
