What kind of fresh hell is this?

I'm trying to copy files from my hard drive to a flash drive. The flash drive is formatted in OSX Extended Journaled. I keeo getting an error part way through thet transfer that says something like "cannot complete the operation, the file DS-Store already exists"

time is of the essence and it's really pissing me off

Thanks in advance for any help

machine.

I don't recall what I did. A DS Store is a file that I only see on Win machines when a Mac file got copied there.
