Thank goodness this group is here.

I just want to cry when I read all the threads out there. We're attacked if we even hint that we support Obama. It just makes me sick.

Do I believe that he's done everything right? Heck no, but he sure doesn't deserve the vitrial that's out there.

Let's do everything humanly possible to re-elect this President. He is our firewall, our only hope .

I had a dream that Obama and Hillary teamed up, for the good of this country. I love Joe and he is equally as good as Hillary, but the combination of Obama and Hillary might peel away more Independents who are straddling the fence.

We just HAVE to win in 2012.

Obama isn't perfect, but he should win in a land slide. The media and the GOP don't want that. And we know that the GOP is trying to figure out every mechanism to depress turn out.

The media is pushing two versions of the "Obama Bad" meme. They are ...

1) Obama is a socialist, kenyan, Muslim, commie, who redistributes wealth to the lazy poor, and hates America ...

2) Obama is a secret corporatist Republican, who redistributes wealth to the rich, and hates America ...

The first message is targeted to the right wing to make them angry and get the motivated to vote against him. The second is targeted to the left wing to make them angry and get them UNMOTIVATED to vote ... get them to stay home.

That's why you will regularly see a right wing pundit and a (alleged) left wing pundit on the same show, describing why "Obama is bad" using these totally opposite messages ... while acting like they didn't hear each other.

And its why on DU, you will see the usual suspects post the same article from Gleen Greenwald, or Huffpo, etc over and over in a rather transparent attempt to frustrate the left using the "Obama Bad" message.

who feels that Obama has done just about everything right under the circumstances. He is not a king and cannot just simply do things he wants....he needs to have a congress working in good faith with him and a media that reports the truth. He has neither and still has gotten alot done for so many people...I know people who are literally still alive because of his policies.

I don't think there is another person who could have gotten so much good done in such a short period of time with a congress obstructing 24/7 and media outlets who are around only to destroy the man.

has fought everything he's tried to do. To discourage his supporters and by the way it looks out there, it's worked very well.

Well, I'm not going to let the pukes win. He's moving in the right direction and that's good enough for me.

Oh, and by the way, I'm as Liberal as they come.

gives me encouragement!

But you are so right, repubs had a game plan from the beginning - to obstruct at every turn - so that Obama's base will turn on him and blame him for things not getting done. One example, is Gittmo. Congress will not fund it even though Obama's has over and over asked for the funds and yet Liberals out there blame Obama, not congress (or even dems who voted against closing Gittmo). This is just one of many examples how congress obstructing is helping make Obama's base turn on him - repubs strategy could not have worked any better. Just need to read a few posts on DU on any given day to see that.

anyone can do it, even infiltrators with destructive agendas. So don't let a handful of loud posters bring you down. Limit your visits to GD and you should be good to go! Also, consider using DU's screening features.
