My dad, dead at the age of 51, because he could not get insurance AT ANY PRICE for a pre-existing condition. He had his own business and we watched him die by bits and pieces for ten years.

When the doctor finally offered a surgery to help, it was too late and it cost a fortune in 1960s dollars. But the hospital required cash up front and his previous ER visits had to be paid in cash as well.

I'd already lost my mom. I've lost two homes and the family I created later to the healthcare system. I know exactly what he is talking about.

What Obama did was not perfect, but in the face of the particularly vile form of fascism we've slowly become used to living in, it was a miracle. And there is a reason I respect him like no other President.

I am so very sorry for your loss. So much was taken from you to soon.

Yes, we got what we could in the face of those that wanted us to have nothing. I believe that it will help many for now.

I only hope that we will see more in the near future, the needs of America should not be a stand between good and evil. It should be our rights as human beings.
