Thank you, BOG!

Thanks so much for making me smile, making me think and inspiring me to take action to make this country a better place for all.

We share the dream of President Obama for peace, equality and basic human rights.

The coolest posters on DU are here at the BOG. I love you all.

Vote blue, vote peace, vote choice.

I was getting close to stepping away from DU after reading so many downer posts, especially those that dissed our President. Then I found BOG. Thanks to sheshe, cha, freshwest, you and all the others for the uplifting and enriching posts. You saved the day for this DUer!

Oh, and I love your last line: Vote blue, vote peace, vote choice. Needs to be a bumper sticker!

Blessings.

The BOG has the nicest, coolest posters on DU, in my opinion.

Pro-choice, pro-equality, pro-peace and pro-Obama!

Yeah, that would make a pretty cool sticker!

Blessings and PEACE to you, too!

because I'm pretty snowed in here until at least Tuesday; maybe cabin fever made me backslide on previous vows. The only thing that was any good was Harry Reid on Face the Nation; otherwise I never heard such a sorry bunch of gloating doomsday predictors. Well, Chuck Shumer did us proud too, but otherwise it was such a total wash that I finally got smart and turned the damned thing off. To hear most of them tell it, we don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting anything done, much less regaining the House.

Good thing to know that President Obama has better things to do than to listen to those empty shirts! What a wonderful antidote to all the doom and gloom, and what a haven our BOG is. Thank you for being such a help indeed.

segments online w/o being subjected to the surrounding mess. I swear, people I used to like a lot now tend to drive me batty. Except for Donna Brazille, Rachel Maddow, and Bill Moyers. Wouldn't I love to have Joseph Campbell and Paul Wellstone back. Bet a lot of us would.

As much as I support his political agenda, I also give him and Michelle credit for bringing style and grace back to the White House. Sort of a JFK/Jackie vibe. Bill and Hillary sort of had it, too. Very refreshing still after the dour, sour and depressing Bushes!

on DU love to shit on the BOG (weird on a supposedly Democratic site, right?), and portray the regulars here as somehow Obama "shills" or "worshipers". It's not so much that we worship him or necessarily agree with everything he does (I disagree with his stance on the TPP, for example), but most of us here know not to subject ourselves to absolutist thinking and neglect the positives from his agenda just because of a few things we are at odds with him on. In general, though, absolutism appears to be a running theme on much of DU; if you don't agree with someone 100%, you are a centrist or Republican-lite. If you follow religion, then you are an idiot. And so on.
This type of behavior gets tiring after a while.

That's why the BOG has become a necessity for me..so full of love and hope, thankfulness and civility.

Quite the contrast from the incessant ridiculing of good Democrats for being religious or moderate or living in red states.

Here's hoping that as the elections draw nearer we can all focus on what's important.

GOTV 2014!
