Here we don't go again kinda sorta

My mailbox today contained another political mailer, this time for the Republican trying to unseat the only Democrat in the state house from this part of the state. Major tea party guy, all about guns and liberty and the constitution and the Murkan dream. Not surprising, given that our local baggers are all about that stuff. They have also been very vocally supportive of birther stuff, with no small amount of racism tossed in.

What's really kind of freaking funny, here, is that this fellow isn't, um, "from here". And he sure as heck doesn't look Swedish, if you get my drift. Fact is, he's Polynesian, born in (uh oh) Hawaii, and has a name that is very obviously not European in origin; the mailer even includes a phonetic pronunciation. He just happened to come to school here, liked the place and decided to stay; and I'd be the last to argue with that.

But it is odd, this sudden silence from all those show-me-the-birth-certificate yellers. Have to wonder if this onset of political laryngitis is painful for them. Hmmm. Maybe I should just call Donald Trump, ask him to look into it . . .

I hear he's been getting urine samples from cows, dogs and who knows what else. I have to wonder if he even knows the difference between them and the human kind. Maybe a there's a lotta disease-free animals around our state these days. Or maybe not...
