Australia drug runner crashes meth van into police car - 140 million US dollars of meth

A suspected drug carrier has been arrested after crashing a van packed with A$200m (£112m; $140m) of methamphetamine into a patrol car parked outside a police station in Sydney, Australia.

The 28-year-old driver hit the police car at speed, crushing its bonnet, on Monday before racing off.

Police caught him an hour later in Eastwood, a suburb in the city's north.

A search of the van uncovered 273kg of meth.

2. Australians don't like to be outdone. The amazing thing is the meth was still in the van

an hour after the crash. You'd think that if you'd done such a demolition job on a police car, you'd then think "hmm, maybe they'll be out looking for this van - better not have my high value, highly-incriminating business assets sitting in it for long".

I suspect the driver was using his own supply.

Good advert for the van, though. It had hardly a dent in it, while the whole front of the police car was caved in.
