Duluth police: Lobster thief pinched again

It’s strange enough that someone would slip into the Red Lobster in Canal Park, snatch a lobster from the tank in the lobby and take off. Now Duluth police are saying it has happened twice in the past year, and the same culprit did it both times.

Workers at the popular seafood restaurant confirmed early Friday evening that they called police just after 11 a.m. Wednesday to report that a lobster was taken. An officer responding to the call spotted Edward Farris, 53, of Duluth, walking with a lobster in a plastic bag and stopped him. He was issued a ticket for trespassing and misdemeanor theft.

The officer brought the live lobster back to the tank at Red Lobster.
