Vancouver woman steals bike back after seeing ad for it on Craigslist

When Kayla Smith’s stolen bike appeared for sale on Craigslist, the Vancouver bartender set up a viewing and “stole” it right back.

Ms. Smith was visiting a friend at the Olympic Village last Wednesday when her bike, which had been locked up outside, was taken. She filed a police report and wrote about the incident on Facebook.

As I recall, some of them set up meets and got their stuff back. It sounds like it might be dangerous dealing with a thief.

I have never sold anything on Craigslist, but whenever I have purchased something, I make sure to meet in a public place for the protection of both buyer and seller.
