Man killed in ( his own) toy helicopter accident in Brooklyn
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man operating a toy helicopter was killed Thursday when it struck him in the head in a park in Gravesend, Brooklyn.
The man, believed to be 20 years old, was flying the remote-controlled helicopter in a park near Bay 44th Street and Shore Parkway.
He apparently lost control and the helicopter fell, with the rotor blade striking him in the head as it was spinning.
Witnesses say the helicopter may have 'boomeranged' back towards him.
