Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI just got blocked from the BS group...though I will wear his credentials on Election Day.
So, I got blocked from the Bernie Sanders group. Mind you, not for anything that got hid by a jury. Not for anything that was derogatory towards Sanders himself.
Ironically, if he is the nominee, I will be wearing his credentials on Election Day....as with every single Election Day since I was 24, I will be an election protection attorney for the Democratic Nominee. I will be on the front lines, as an attorney, protecting the franchise of every voter.
Turns out....the Host that blocked me, had a previous issue with me, over my incredibly "mean," but incredibly funny thread about 50 Shades of Grey....she was not the host who locked it, but since the Host who locked it refused to hear my appeal, she decided to have an extensive PM discussion with me over my intemperate use of humor.
Here is that locked thread, in all of its glory....
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026190179
Could I repeat the PM exchange? Sure, but why bother? Just know that that I got blocked---a lawyer who will proudly wear Bernie Sanders credentials if he is chosen as the Democratic nominee, was blocked from a group dedicated to winning over voters to Bernie.
FYI---I have not mentioned the name of the Host, because it is not important.

(135,425 posts)I got blocked for telling a poster that CNN did cover Sanders' announcement that he was running, and providing links, after the hot-breathed assertion was erroneously made that no one was covering it (this was the first announcement, too, mind you, during the Baltimore riots--not the speech announcement in VT).
I got an "insufficient loyalty" dressing down, too.
I like Bernie Sanders way, WAY better than most of his supporters, I'm afraid. They are NOT helping the man one bit. It's as if they want to alienate anyone who doesnt profess undying loyalty right from the get-go.
That's not how campaigns work.
I'm from MA, so in the run-up to Kerry's campaign, I rather felt obligated to support him, having voted for him down the years...but I really, REALLY did like Howard Dean, my whole family did. So, we were rooting for him, and would have been overjoyed had he made the cut. Had he not imploded before it came time for me to cast my primary vote...welllllllll....? Who knows how I would have voted in that circumstance?
But I live in a Super Tuesday state, and Dean backed out two weeks before we even went to the polls. So my loyalties were never tested....We didn't have to make any hard choices by the time we were asked to weigh in, so....there ya go.
Maybe my memory is failing me, but I don't remember Dean supporters being nasty about other candidates. There IS that, too....

(92,130 posts)something you posted in another forum, that had nothing derogatory toward Bernie?
Just an observation. I have been noticing lately that more folks than usual seem to triggering alerts because they don't agree with view or a political opinion. I want to make it clear that I am NOT talking about obvious racial or sexist slurs.
There is a lot of "craziness" that has been going on lately, especially in the General Discussion forum, where some seem to be less and less tolerant of ideas and thoughts of others.
A few months back I got blocked from the Elizabeth Warren group for commenting that she wasn't going to run in 2016. At the time I didn't realize I was posting in that group, and let them know that, but it didn't matter. That of course is their right, and they make the rules for that group.

Were you the poll watchers who that complete idiot Christian Adams claimed to have seen the voter intimidation? Adams was a political hire and was too stupid to be in the DOJ
msanthrope
(37,549 posts)Showed up that day.
Gothmog
(145,126 posts)From the OIG report, it was clear that there was nothing to Christian Adams charges. Adams was illegally hired into the DOJ voting section and was not qualified to work in that section. The man is a bad attorney and an idiot

(37,549 posts)Was polite respectful held open the doors to everyone and kept his mouth shut. The Republican Party assholes who showed up were assholes to the election workers until we intervened. , the O'Keefe cameraman showed up and tried to start filming inside the voting area. I have absolutely no doubt that there is film of me laughing at the camera man after he asked me a series of really stupid questions.

(9,494 posts)I think most of the world (outside of DU and the rest of the internet echo chamber) knows who will be heading up the Democratic ticket in 2016. Bernie does too and he'll be out there voting for her and telling his fan club to do the same.
Secondly, I'll bet at least half the posters on DU would have paid to get on that list!
And Third, I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend any time on an official Bernie thread anyway. It reminds me of the time I accidently wandered into an anti-vaccine discussion on a medical information web site. All they did was scream about the evil doctors and corporations who just wanted to make money off of the forced vaccination of their children.
They simply couldn't listen to numbers or facts.
Bernie Sander's groups are all over the internet and, apparently, their strident hatred of Hillary Clinton is beginning to make them look a little crazy. People are starting to notice the lies and misrepresentation of the facts that his followers are pushing in Bernie's name. My advise is to stay away from the place. Let them stew in it.
