As much as we all love CA and NJ, votes in TX, FL, and NY were just as important in this primary.

If anything, the states that did not have a "fair" primary were the strange caucuses where some people don't get a chance to attend. Washington was a perfect example of how the caucus is really a different result than Democrats voting.

Key swing states: FL, PA, and OH all went to Hillary over Bernie:

Pennsylvania April 26 189 (21) 106 83 Primary Closed
Florida March 15 214 (32) 141 73 Primary Closed
Ohio March 15 143 (16) 81 62 Primary Semi-open

We all know those swing states will make the difference in the Electoral College in a GE. General polls don't matter as much as winning the contested states to get to 270! Traction in the toss-ups is most important.

Bernie is making a big deal out of CA, but we sort of know what will happen. When Hillary campaigns against Bernie the best he does is break even - and that's with the white males, college students, and rural NE. When Hillary has a base and campaigns, she can beat Bernie even in tough states (like KY).

Hillary has this primary won, so all the current campaigning that Hillary is doing is really focused on the GE. She is working now to GOTV, attack Trump, and raise money. Bernie is a good sparing partner who motivates a bunch of young people to register as Democrats 6 months before a Presidential election. A large number of them will vote for her - and really won't go to Trump. Bernie's large crowds are people who usually don't vote at all. It's still to be seen if they show up in November.

and sanders...and his his followers discounting the importance of the primary wins.....the HUGE primary wins by hillary in these redstates was just another indication how far out their league they were coming from....the fact is....hillary may one or several redstates and that would be a hoot!

america is NOT a left- center country...but a center-slightly left ruled by righwingers....and I hoping it to become more center-left and center-left in charge

we will never be a left-center...we are not Europe, never will be Europe

in the 80s I worked for Richard Riley - two term Democratic governor of SC!! Southern states have Democratic voters ruled by repubs!! That's certainly true in FL, with more registered Dems, and total state offices are GOP - gerrymandering, etc.

I think that under the right circumstances - Hillary could win a GA, NC, or SC. My sister in SC lives in a total "conservative" world, but in her job as a nurse working with low-income pregnant women, she will vote for Hillary over Trump!

Someone like Trump could piss off enough traditional repubs (likely women) and carry a traditional red state in the South or West. Maybe some states like Kansas or Wisconsin have had enough and they revolt. Who knows, but Hillary has some real possibilities in those red states where she won big.
