Confirmed: Bernie Sanders Used Campaign Funds For Overnight Trip To Italy (HRC GP)

http://www.politicade.com/confirmed-bernie-sanders-illegally-used-campaign-funds-for-overnight-trip-to-italy/

AIR CHARTER TEAM AIR TRAVEL KANSAS CITY MO 64116 04/11/2016 $613,451

Presidential Campaign Finance Reports, which include receipts and disbursements for the month of April, have been in ’processing’ status since they were submitted to the FEC on 5/20. Yesterday, the FEC made the detailed campaign finance reports available to the public.

The reports provide evidence that Bernie Sanders ..... used campaign funds for his overnight stay in Italy with 10 family members. Lodging at the 5-star luxury Hotel Boscolo Exedra in Rome, Italy was billed to the campaign in the amount of $13,758. Rooms at the luxury hotel start at $400 a night and go up to $8,000 a night. Additional expenses include $883 for lodging and catering at Hotel Michelangelo in Rome.

On 4/8, Bernie Sanders announced he would travel to the Vatican on 4/15. Private chartered flights must be paid in full before scheduled departure date. On 4/11, the campaign disbursed $613,451 for chartered air travel. This amount dwarfs all other Sanders’ campaign air charter travel expenses to date.

Incidentally, notice how courteous and considerate we Hillary supporters continue to be? Even in the Hillary Clinton group. If the tables were turned, the BernieBros wouldn't even bother to make the distinction. They'd be too busy salivating at the prospect. smh

and yet I'll wager they will still send him more money and pretend this is no big deal as each time Bernie breaks with his supposed convictions they make excuses and try and justify it. Can't wait to hear the spin on this.

I happen to support Hillary. Her email server and Bernie's plane ticket fare do not interest me as distractions from real issues, and bore me to tears, although some live and breathe it. If that is "right wing", my sincerest apologies.

For possible clarification and in hopes of not upsetting anyone else, the "sarcasm" smilie on my earlier post has now been activated.

I just hope the DNC doesn't pay for the trip, in order to get some promise of cooperation from Bernie. He has a way of breaking promises.
