But shortly after he announced his campaign in April 1987, his affair with Donna Rice was exposed and he ended up dropping out a month later, which paved the way for Dukakis to take the (tank) wheel.

and he did what Bernie is trying to do. In 1984, he spend the summer trying to flip super delegates from Mondale. The end result was a grand total of zero delegates flipped.. I do not expect any different for the Bernie campaign.
