Yes, the roles of VPs have changed but they still have to follow the leader.

I think she can be a lot more influential in the Senate, especially if we are the majority.

They do say that emphasizing your best qualities by picking a running mate who mirrors them is always a great idea! Warren like Clinton is strong, A great attack dog, and articulate! Plus, 50% plus of voters are women...so I don't see how that hurts the ticket. Any man willing to vote for one woman at the top of the ticket, won't care if another woman is Second on it! So if Hillary pics Elizabeth Warren as her VP, she has my blessings.

the leader of the liberal/progressive wing of the Democratic party and not Senator Sanders. She understands the threat posed by Trump and the need to elect a democrat in November.
