at the convention about "Poor George, born with a silver foot in his mouth", it is ladies like Ann Richards which has opened doors for me and others to follow. She was a great lady and I am thinking Hillary is also going to be a great lady for young girls to follow.

She came to us under the trees to shake our hands and ask what we needed as workers.

It was a good time to live in the liberal, progressive Texas with expanding rights that she promoted.

Barbara Jordan was another of our stars. I will never forget her voice and words.
