From the website of the Democratic side of the House Select Committee on Benghazi:
WASHINGTONToday, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member of the Select Committee on Benghazi, released the following statement after the completion of the Committees transcribed interview of former State Department Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills:
"After listening to many hours of testimony with Cheryl Mills today, I believe every single American should be able to read this transcript as soon as possible.
"The American people should be able to see for themselves that none of the wild Republican allegations against Secretary Clinton have been substantiated.
"The Secretary did not personally authorize cables that reduced the State Departments security in Libya, and she did not order the military to stand-down, as some have alleged.
"Ms. Mills answered every single question thoroughly, and she handled herself as a consummate professional. I thank her for her service.
"I also believe the Committee should immediately release the transcript of Sidney Blumenthals deposition, but the Chairman has refused to schedule a voteas House Rules requireand instead has insisted on keeping that testimony secret too, even as the Committee selectively leaks other documents out of context.
"Unfortunately, it appears that the Select Committee has shelved its core work on Benghazi to focus almost exclusively on Secretary Clinton and her aides in an effort to attack her bid for president.
"The Committee has not held a single hearing since Januarymore than eight months ago. We were supposed to have hearings with the Defense Department and the intelligence agencies, but we never had them. To be clear, these were hearings the Chairman himself was planning to hold.
"Instead, over the past 16 months, the Committee has spent more than four million dollars, but we have held only three hearings and fewer than 50 interviewsone of the least productive congressional investigations in history.
"This severe misuse of taxpayer resources and Congressional power has done very little to help protect our diplomats around the world."

You see, if Gowdy releases the transcripts of the Mills or Blumenthal interviews, it will become immediately obvious that the entire investigation is little more than trumped-up bullshit. Much better for the GOP smear artists to selectively leak parts of these interviews out of context. All, of course, to dishonestly try to bring down Hillary Clinton.
Thank you, Rep. Cummings for continuing to push back against this outrageous subversion of government.

Total Gowdy Move: Pledge No Leaks, Make Interview Private, Leak Selectively (and Anonymously)
Tomorrow, Hillary Clinton aide Cheryl Mills will testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi. Though Mills requested that her testimony occur in public, Trey Gowdy refused and will conduct the interview behind closed doors.
This is what we call a Total Gowdy Move. Though Gowdy preaches transparency, he conducts interviews with witnesses in private and as a result the media has no independent record of what occurred. Next, Gowdy selectively and anonymously leaks misinformation to the media despite his refusal to make said interview public and despite his assertion that serious investigations do not leak information.
Gowdys leaks arent limited to witness interviews read Gowdys history below of leaking all kinds of information. For more Total Gowdy Moves, follow Correct The Record.
Benghazi Committee Leaks
Yesterday, in advance of her closed-door interview before the Benghazi Committee, it was reported that Clinton aide Cheryl Mills had sought to have her testimony occur in public. This request, which Gowdy denied, was made, according to a Politico report, because she fears Republicans will leak selected information that casts her in a negative light. This is a play Trey Gowdy has run before, like when he prohibited the release of a transcript of Sidney Blumenthals closed-door interview but then leaked selected information from that hearing. In fact, despite his rhetoric about transparency and assertions that serious investigations do not leak information, the Benghazi Committee has leaked information at every turn.
Leak #1: Trey Gowdy committee leaked news of Hillary Clinton subpoena. In a letter sent to Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Friday, the five Democrats on the panel criticized Gowdy for issuing the formal request for documents from Clintons term as secretary of state without consulting with Democrats and accused the committee of operating as a campaign arm of the Republican National Committee . Issuing this subpoena unilaterally with no deliberation by committee members, leaking information about the subpoena before informing Democratic Members, and providing inaccurate information at a press conference all contribute to a perception that this Committee is now targeting Secretary Clinton for political reasons rather than to clarify any remaining facts relating to the attacks in Benghazi, the Democrats, led by Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), wrote. [Politico, 3/6/15]

Rep. Cummings: It seems obvious that someone on the Republican side of the Committee provided this information.Contrary to your statements warning against the disclosure of internal Committee information, the Washington Post ran a story about your subpoena before you informed a single Democratic member that it was under consideration. It seems obvious that someone on the Republican side of the Committee provided this information to an individual outside the Committee before you told any Democratic Members.
