Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumA lot is being made of a Quinnipac poll saying Hillary and Bernie are tied, but there is much more
between the lines not being talked about.
For instance 30% of those polled indicated they would not support a candidate that supports choice. I find that very troubling since, since every Democratic nominee supports the right to choose, and that implies that 30% of those polled will not support the Democratic nominee
Other questions in the poll that were interesting are the following:
Who would you say has the right kind of temperament and personality to handle an international crisis as president, or not?
Bernie 65%
Hillary 89%
Biden 81%
Who would you say has strong leadership qualities or not?

If you agreed with a presidential candidate on other issues, but not on the issue of abortion, do you think you could still vote for that candidate or not?

I also personally feel that including Biden in these polls distorts things. Unless Biden announces he is running, I don't think he should be included
There is no doubt in my mind that the practically 24/7 coverage of the "supposed" email controversy has impacted Hillary. The Iowa primary isn't until February, and I think Hillary is positioned well, especially when you look at leadership qualities and handling of international affair questions.
Also, there is a gender factor not being mentioned much in this poll. The the women vote significantly favors Hillary over the other candidates, at least according to this poll

(27,315 posts)It was asking if people could vote for somebody who disagrees with them, so it could be people who are pro-choice and would not vote for a pro-life candidate.

(27,315 posts)It does not mean I would vote for his opponent if this opponent was racist or was promoting ending welfare, but I certainly would not vote.

Hillary is crushing Bernie with people of color as well.
So Bernie is fighting the GOP for white men.
