Hillary had a series of tweets Sun re addiction and need to invest in treatment & prison reform

I remember at the beginning of her campaign, while in NH she had a forum on these topics. But the email crap took over the news media and her proposal are in the dustbin. Glad she is reminding folks. Wish her camp would write a few editorials.

Our prisons—where 2/3 inmates meet criteria for substance use disorders—are no substitute for treatment. We must reform our justice system.

This is a pro-child, pro-family issue that needs to be addressed nationally. Much of the child and spousal, even elder, abuse and/or neglect is due to substance use, and that is something than can be treated. "23 million Americans suffer from addiction, but only 1 in 10 get the treatment they need."
