Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumClinton wins key NH union endorsements
Hillary Clinton is racking up 2016 union endorsements, landing the support on Monday of a major national labor organization and a top public employee group in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.
The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, which has 340,000 members, announced in a statement it would back the former secretary of States bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
In addition, the New Hampshire chapter of the National Education Association, which has 16,000 members, said Monday it will also support Clinton for president. The endorsement gives Clinton the backing of the biggest public employee union in a critical early-voting state.

(2,015 posts)I'm sick of even logging into DU because the entire home page is just full of Bernie cheer leading stories. When there is real news that is positive for Hillary it just sinks in the Hillary group. (Yes, I've already recommended this )

(2,004 posts)HRC is a great candidate and has made several great policy proposals already during the very start of the campaign. BS is a good senator, but he is not a Democrat and he is not as indifferent to political influences as some claim, either. I do not understand how he can run in the Democratic Party primaries outside of Vermont. So far I have seen nothing that he has proposed that is at all practical or even possible to get done. GOP supporters want their government subsidies, but do not want to pay taxes to support the programs they love. The supporters are I had hoped BS would help the Democratic Party, but so far it looks like he is playing the Nader spoiler role. I hope I am mistaken about what is going on.
The flooding of Bernie cheerleading stories are mostly without any substance.
Hang in there. We will get through this as we have a great candidate who is tough as nails and then some.

(2,015 posts)He spouts all these big ideas without any plan to make it happen. Taxes will be lower, healthcare will be free, college will be free and wages will be higher. Cool, just one question -- where is all this money going to come from?
Hillary IS tough as nails, the end of primary season can't come quick enough for me.

(83,746 posts)I am not here so much anymore. Found other places to post.
I will stay, for the people I have come to love here. Also, no way am I leaving Obama until the very end.
I spend half my time here reading posts and blocking abusers in this and the BOG group. I never have time to post and really, it doesn't matter. If it is not about Bern it sinks like a stone.
Sad~

I think most of it will pass when the primaries are over. If not, then this place will not be worth it any more.

(14,378 posts)So all those prolific loudmouth posters have migrated here. That's my theory.
Online forum sites don't get the traffic they used to, so it's mostly the lefties who have endeared themselves to the whole notion. Not that I don't empathize but damn, they sure make it hard.
I posted my postulations on what DU means in the scheme of things these days in that "private " Hillary forum, but it was deleted because I was banned immediately. (?)
So I will post it here:
Back in 2001, the wild west days of the internet, we (at The DNC) thought this site might have some real usefulness. I even put forth a proposal to fund DU (which happened) but as things went on it became apparent by 2004 that the internet attracted a certain personality. We did a study to attempt to divine the significance of online sites and their influence. We determined around 15,000 people posted "frequently" on sites like FDL, DKos and DU. Then we compared that to the electorate. In the last election Sixty-six Million voted. What is the % of 15,000 to 66,000,.000? It's two hundredths of one percent. So the significance of DU outside the internet bubble is pretty minimal.
So, there you have it. Invasion at DU doesn't take much. This happens frequently. Remember that many of Bernie's supporters are the same ones who vehemently opposed the President for the past four years.

I never went there as there was too much anti-Obama stuff. Very interesting information. Thanks!

She had hip replacement surgery and just said fuck it.
