2. I know how you feel.

I never had anyone on my jury blacklist. In all my years on DU, not one.

Then I got two bullshit 4-3 hides in the last month, for stating inconvenient facts about Bernie. I had only gotten one other hide in all my years on DU. It is clear now that the juries are stacked against Hillary supporters and rampant alert stalking is going on. Now, I have 15 on my jury blacklist. And 15 is not nearly enough.

Sad indeed.

Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT

I didn't even realize that there was such a thing as a jury blacklist, but this post prompted me to look at my account. Now I know.

I don't believe that I've ever gotten an outright hide for any post, although I did have a couple threads locked because I had overlooked the TOS or inadvertently posted them in the wrong forum. The Admin who locked them was kind enough to explain why the threads had been locked and that was fine with me.

But yes, it is sad to see some DU members literally eating their own. I had never trashed a thread before this week and now I am trashing threads on a daily basis. My "Ignore" list has grown so long in the past two months that I can't even remember everyone is who is on it.

But I refuse to engage with anyone whose only point in posting is to trash Hillary, HRC supporters/Dems in general, or me personally for being so "misguided" as to prefer the Dem candidate with the most impressive qualifications of any Dem candidate in the race and who also happens to be a woman, which to me is a significant bonus.

6. It would be nice if an individual's jury blacklist applied to ...

... that individual's alerts on others in addition to any alerts from others on the individual (as it is now.)

I have no problems with the concept of randomly selected juries, nor with the concept of community moderating... but when one candidate's supporters enjoy an 85:15 advantage in population, the randomly selected juries will also reflect the same (on average, more often than not.)

My jury blacklist is filled, and my ignored members list continues to grow.

After Hillary is nominated (or when it's mathematically clear that she's the nominee) I'll wipe-clean my ignored members list! (Not because I'm being forgiving, or offering second-chances ... but because I want to be able to witness "the show" that will be on display upon Hillary's nomination.)

GDP is not even a Democratic site anymore. The good news is that there are Bernie fans who waste a lot of time with recs for themselves instead of getting out in the streets.

While Bernie's campaign is begging for help to get on the ballot, some of us are seriously organizing to beat the GOP!

And I often go through an remove the folks who have been banned, or haven't posted in a long time. I know I've got a few that would always vote to hide my posts... It is what it is.
