Ive come to believe that saying nice things about Hillary Clinton can be a subversive act. Sady Doyle
Seeking power as a woman remains, in many ways, the ultimate anti-establishment act in the United States. Tom Watson
Who can be more of an outsider than a woman president? Hillary Clinton
As a long-time progressive activist, my views align with Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, all of whom have very similar voting records.
I have no interest in disparaging any Democrat, but simply to tell the truth, no matter how counter-intuitive, and to advocate for the candidate I believe is most capable of winning and governing. Im also motivated by a desire to break long-standing barriers, specifically the political barrier that has barred all women from the U.S. presidency.
Bernie Sanders is a white male who has been in Congress for over a quarter century his views notwithstanding, he is the definition of the establishment.
Hillary Clinton is a woman attempting to break the ultimate gender barrier, the first female to become President of the United States she is the definition of the anti-establishment.
This is incontestable, no matter how loud and angry the reaction from a segment of Bernie supporters.
Facts are facts. When Bernie and his top advisor dismiss Planned Parenthood as the establishment and when Bernies followers use his soaring rhetoric as an excuse to bash Hillary, they are ignoring the basic truth that women in America and across the globe remain oppressed and marginalized.
The patriarchy IS the establishment Hillary is taking it on, as she has been for decades.

That is a fact, and one of the only thing that pretty much all nations in this world cooperate with--replicating the system of patriarchy.
