When the Right Wing Media Lie About Hillary Clinton, I Go After the Facts

It’s not new that the GOP and their cronies in the right wing media lie about Hillary Rodham Clinton on a daily basis. We’ve heard this story before and no doubt they’ll just keep it up until after she leaves the White House after two terms in January 2025.

Our friends over at IJReview.com put out a hit piece on her yesterday, accusing her of paying women on her staff 72 cents on the dollar compared to her male employees. They cry hypocrisy! They scream unfairness!

They didn’t tell you the truth.

And when you blatantly mislead the public about her record on women’s issues, I simply go after the facts. Here’s what I found, thanks in large part to Ruby Cramer’s fabulous reporting over at Buzzfeed:

Senate records from her tenure as New York’s junior senator show she paid a median salary to both men and women of $43,000.

The very last lines~ Not only did Hillary Clinton talk the talk, she walked the walk. And in heels I might add.

Facts are tricky like that.

And Barack Obama, and most Democratic politicians. Remind me again that the US has a liberal media.

Sad but true, closest thing we have is Jon Stewart. A comedian.

I would guess that many Americans know more about Bruce Jenner than they know about the TPP.

Just often repeated accusations and personal vitriol. They are unworthy and those doing are deeply suspect. Billions of dollars are NOW doing the work the billionaires intend:

'Money doesn't talk It swears.'

~ Bob Dylan

The president of the United States is a powerful person who can do great good or evil.

It would be good to continue on Obama's good hearted and compassionate legacy and build upon it. HRC has said that is exactly what she plans to do. I think Sanders intends to do good things as well, and is why he hwas been welcomed to the party by the head of the evil DNC and HRC. Imagine that...

It would be evil to dismantle this nation, sell it off to the Koches and establish fiefdoms, kill the disadvantaged, go to war in perpetuity for dubious gain to us, the environment or other humans. And to destroy the freedom of the mind and spirit, and the ideals that give it room.

That's what we're up against. We must take our 'wor- out tools' as some would say about the Democrats:

If - By Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And - which is more - you’ll be a Man,* my son!

That could have been written to Obama or Clinton. They are not crooks, they are not into this for their own game. A high calling paves the road and gives one the power to walk it. A low calling serves itself only, and may make history, but it doesn't inspire the human heart's best impulses.

*That goes for a Woman, too. For her work is disregarded and made light of but it can make the world better. It will bring peace. Male or female, we can create a better or worse world.

Last thing on the Democrats, who are maligned so much by too many who do not know our true record.

We have much work to do. The lives of those we love depend on us to not give up.
