The term "Billary" is still being thrown around here on DU. (HRC Room Post)

I know that this term is used here on DU in a derogatory manner against Hillary and I know that is the intent of those using it. Those throwing out that term for a former First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State believe that this will upset or rile up her supporters. Not this supporter and here is why. I know that Hillary Clinton can stand on her own accomplishments and merits. I know she does not need Bill to do this, she never has. But, I also know that I can't wait to have Bill Clinton near the White House again (Republican heads start rolling). I hope Hillary does once in a while get advice from Bill Clinton, after all, isn't he the "Chief of Explaining Stuff"? I will take the economy under Bill Clinton any day of the week and I will take them as a married couple just like I would any other Democrat married to another politician. I am glad that Bill and Hillary share the same values and dreams for this country. Billary! Billary! Billary! There! Now, doesn't that sound good?

Plus, old Bill has that "magic" thing going for him.

doubt Bill will be a great sounding board for Hillary thought I feel just as sure Hillary will be making the decisions. She was friendly with Kissenger also and another downer for her bashers but also another source to share experiences.

It's sexist piggery, implying that she not only has no identity of her own but that her Presidency will be nothing but a front for Bill's third and fourth terms.

new issue of the week - GMOs and something about a PAC. They even think a PAC is the same thing as her campaign.

I wonder who decides what the outrage of the week is? Maybe Rand himself decides for his Paulites and Karl probably decides for the trolls.

8. Perhaps not as bad as this: "Hillary Clinton Hires Former Monsanto Lobbyist to Run Her Campaign"

And of course that's the headline thousands of DUers see. And like any headline, only a small percent actually click through to the article or read much of the thread.

The first sentence of the article says:

Hillary Clinton recently announced that she will be appointing long-time Monsanto lobbyist Jerry Crawford as adviser to her “Ready for Hillary” super PAC.

which is of course quite different than "running her campaign". Though way too many in that awful thread defend the headline. And that supposedly one can't change the headline. Well, that's an LBN rule, not a rule in GD or any other forum that I know of. And in LBN, one must use a reliable source, and a source with that headline is unreliable. (And it happens to be some dubious blog).

Full disclosure: I'm no fan of Hillary (though I would enthusiastically back her in the general election), and I know I'm in the Hillary safe haven group.

But it just pisses me off when people pass on lies, I don't care about who or what the subject is. Or lie directly or through all the ways people can deliberately and grossly mislead.

I have, for example, in more than one thread defended her against the lie that she's for raising the Social Security retirement age.

I'm here in DU looking for information (and of course to work for progressive causes and candidates); I'm not here to try to unravel lying contests. Its such a shame that so many supposed "progressives" feel no remorse about lying to their fellow progressives.

Anyway, had to vent.
