Bill campaigning in Missouri

Bill Clinton will be campaigning today in Springfield. Earlier this week he held a rally for HRC in the St. Louis suburb of Bridgeton.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -
Former President Bill Clinton will campaign here on Friday afternoon for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. He'll speak at the Teamsters Union Hall on East Division Street, just east of Glenstone Avenue, at 3 p.m.

A Democratic Party spokesman said the doors to the hall will open at 2 p.m. No ticket is necessary. Between 500 and 1,000 people will be able to attend on a first-come, first-admitted basis.

BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOX) – Former President Bill Clinton brought his campaign to become the nation’s first-ever “First Husband” to suburban St. Louis on Tuesday.

He spoke before a crowd of several hundred at the Machinists Hall in Bridgeton, touting his wife Hillary Clinton’s policies on things like paying off loans for higher education.

The campaign clearly see Missouri "in play" -- there are no recent public polling numbers but MO would be prime Sanders territory.

Also interesting that they are focusing on MO and not other potentially contested states where HRC has large leads in the polls. Could be indicative that their internal numbers see the other states as "safe."
