Primary turnout 'be very afraid' memes starting to develop.

Sadly, I saw it again on Maddow tonight, basically be very nervous about the lower Democratic primary turnout vs Republithugs. I have seen this debunked elsewhere but 538 has a fresh look.

Primary Turnout Means Nothing For The General Election
By HARRY ENTEN

“…some commentators are saying that Democrats should be nervous. From The Huffington Post, last month:

But Democratic Party elites shouldn’t be high-fiving each other. They should be very, very worried. In primary after primary this cycle, Democratic voters just aren’t showing up.

But Democrats shouldn’t worry. Republicans shouldn’t celebrate. As others have pointed out, voter turnout is an indication of the competitiveness of a primary contest, not of what will happen in the general election. The GOP presidential primary is more competitive than the Democratic race.

Indeed, history suggests that there is no relationship between primary turnout and the general election outcome. You can see this on the most basic level by looking at raw turnout in years in which both parties had competitive primaries. There have been six of those years in the modern era: 1976, 1980, 1988, 1992, 2000 and 2008….”

They are creating drama.

I wish we had a media that gave us the information.

If worrying people will help get them to the polls then go for it.

I'd hate to see Ted Cruz in the WH due to low Democratic turn out. Honestly, if Trump or Cruz doesn't motivate people to get off their butts, then we get what we deserve. Those, I don't think anyone deserves Cruz.

I can't say exactly why, but when it comes to Hillary vs. Trumpenfeuhrer, Cruz, or any other clowns the right can throw at her, I'm confident that she will be our next president. Despite the media, the lies, and the attempts by some on the left to destroy her campaign, I have to feel confident that the sane in this country far outnumber the batshit crazy, and the delusional. But that's just me, and I'm with her
