(8,133 posts)The only thing that will cause a revolution in this country is if you turn off their cable and take away their tvs. President Trump turns it back on, then he's a hero.
I'm afraid you are greatly overestimating how much most Americans give a damn. The other thing is that they can just be conned by the Republicans into thinking it's the Mexicans fault or some other scapegoat.
The Republicans employ a good number of psychologists to figure out just how they can manipulate people's minds. They are masters at propaganda.

(35,437 posts)And when you pander, people become hyper-partisan. Bernie is promising them a free college education, but Hillary is not. So, Hillary is blocking me from getting a free education. Hillary is evil. If she wins, then I don't get free college, so I won't vote for her.

Womens rights, worker rights, and the environment are crucial issues but nothing is more important than letting Democrats know you arent going to vote because you didnt get to have your cake and eat it too.
