He is all about himself. He doesn't have a congressional coalition backing him because these people work with him and know he is not a team player--he is a "it's my way or the highway" kind of person. He is using the Democrat Party to help him with his own ambition--he has no interest helping anyone else--except for "when I win I will be so great you'll thank me"--or something similar.

I'm not kidding. From the first he's show ineptitude over how politics works. Of course to some, maybe even many, that's attractive. But it won't get you far in politics. In fact, let's just see how far Trump gets with that same ignorance.

He is just using our party to further his own political agenda.

The funniest part is that everything he has promoted will have no remote prayer of seeing the light of day without a democratic controlled congress. And still he can't help anyone down the ticket?

This is incredible. And it shows shocking ignorance as to how the political process works.

How petty he was in that answer when that was unnecessary. I too was surprised when he admitted he had not been raising money for down ticket candidates while noting that Clinton WAS. (I've read posts here claiming he was contributed far more, but here he is now admitting NO involvement.) He said they wanted to focus on winning the nom and didn't have access to the kind of money Clinton did and wouldn't want it ("Nyah Nyah, that girl over there thinks she's so smart-- don't let her sit at our lunch table. And I don't like her outfit...&quot petty, not principled...

When he said that, I wondered if he might use his fundraising as a way bargaining chip with superdelegates, particularly those going up for re-election soon. He can't really raise money for the DNC because he's essentially running against the party and can't ask his supporters to give money to it. But he might promise to raise money for particular individuals he endorses.

Over 50% are just DNC members that are not in Congress or Governors. His pool of possible delegates that might be more in need of re-election our on the house side only number about 231. Incumbent Senators should be doing fine on their own with some assistance from their Senate PAC.

Hillary has already been fundraising for many in Congress. So I doubt that Sanders has much of a carrot to offer.

for anyone who wants to see Bernie's own plans come to fruition?

He is promising single payer healthcare, breaking up the banks, free college and an overhaul of the energy industry. That is just for starters. Does he believe the current Republican majority will cooperate? How on earth does he plan to accomplish any of that without Democrats to vote for legislation? Making matters worse, a Sanders Presidency will embolden down ticket Republicans to seek to balance the "left wing" scales.

This is not looking good. Even his most ardent support must see that in this statement he is admitting his ideas are theoretical and he has no viable plan to make them happen. Or even an interest in creating one.

I'm being generous here when I say none of this makes any sense unless his run for the Presidency is an excuse to gain media attention and push ideas that will require actual Democrats to step in to accomplish the job.

And for that and all the other reasons, thank all that is holy HRC will get the nod!
