PPP WI Poll: Sanders leads +6; HRC leads among Dems +8

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Wisconsin, conducted on behalf of VoteVets Action Fund, finds Bernie Sanders as the favorite in the state’s Democratic primary. Sanders leads Hillary Clinton 49-43, with 8% of voters still undecided. Clinton leads among actual Democratic voters in the state, 50-42. But Sanders has an overwhelming advantage with independents at 62/31, and that gives him the overall advantage in this open primary. Sanders is strong with voters under 45 (a 65/28 lead), those who identify as ‘very liberal’ (59/37), and men (56/39). The only group Clinton has a substantial lead with is seniors, at 63/30

the open primary is a bummer. crapola.

Maybe those 8% undecided will move to Hillary's column. I can hope.

2. Project 538 has Sanders at 74% to win, but their polls+ forecast has Sanders at 49.4, Clinton 48.2

That means that Sanders will get 44 pledged delegates, Clinton 42.

With a deficit of about 230 delegates, that isn't a path to victory.

3. I hope a lot of Indies will end up voting in the GOP primary to try and stop Trump

4. Bernie has this in the bag. I don't know why half his supporters don't just stay home.

But don't get me wrong. Those Bernie supporters who want to vote for him in WI - even if they're Indies - have every right to do so, and I encourage them to get to the polls first thing Wednesday morning to cast their votes.

Don't assume they will automatically vote for him esp with Kasich in the race
Isn't she leading with women?
Good news she will be there over the weekend hopefully to close the deal on Wisconsin

I was expecting this to play out super close, but fortunately I also don't need to care what the results are. I just hate having my FB page blown up with all the fanatics screaming about Bernie for the rest of the month. It's gonna be a long month until NY comes along.

Would love a nice surprise win but even super close helps Hillary. Bernie needs blowouts and who knows if some independents will vote GOP? I've seen interviews with some independents trying to choose between Bernie or Trump?? How is that possible? I'm not a Bernie fan, but what does that say: independents just want an outsider? And of course Bernie IS a senator so his whole revolutionary costume is just that...

10. Is WI the last gasp, though? It's a very progressive state with an open primary format.

So right off the bat, there are not a lot of factors that favor Hillary. And Trump seems to have faded there, reducing the urgency for independents to vote in the GOP primary. But how many WIs (i.e. open primaries) are left between now and the end of the primary season?

I know we're likely in for an annoying 2 weeks between WI and NY if Sanders does win, because momentum, but if he's not hitting his delegate targets, I'm not sure how it would change The Math. (Yeah, I want to give it proper noun status now, since it's so significant. lolz)

I really wanted her to win this one. I really don't feel the Bern and want him extinguished. I have my fingers crossed for NY.
