Brazil and Venezuela ratify their strategic alliance

Brasilia, May 9 (Prensa Latina) The Brazilian president, Dilma Rousseff, and Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, confirmed the strategic partnership between the two countries today and called for deepening existing cooperation in various economic sectors.

"Brazil has a strategic alliance with Venezuela and wants to deepen this cooperation in various areas, including food security," Rousseff stressed in statements to the press after holding a private dialogue with Maduro in the Planalto Presidential Palace.

She noted that with President Maduro of Venezuela, winner in the elections last April, "we will maintain the high level relationship we had with the emminent Hugo Chávez", who died in March.

"Today we reaffirm our commitment to a stronger relationship, a strategic partnership between our countries," Rousseff said noting that they had agreed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of food, energy, oil and agriculture, and supporting social development and building homes.

between this huge Latin American leader, with its tremendous President, reaffirming the friendship, the pledge between the two governments.

Lula has taken the time to remind us of his unflagging affection and support, respect for Chavez, and his great respect in and belief in President Maduro.

Both Brazilian Presidents are amazing people of REAL value, very unusual in a world with pure crap politicians. These people have cared specifically about raising the standard of living for the poor, as does Maduro, of course.

Good luck to them all. They are needed.

This alliance has been great, and it's one of the greatest legacies of Chávez. He started the push for making both countries come closer, before Lula got elected. He was quite happy when Lula won and when Dilma succeeded. Quite vocal and completely honest in his support for Brazil and his effort and actions for a true alliance and a true friendship between people who share the same goals in the continent.
