Venezuelan president urges workers to move towards socialism

Caracas, May 28 (Prensa Latina) President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, today urged the working class of basic industries in Guayana to lead the construction of socialism in the state of Bolivar and the country.

After his visit to the Caroni CVG Aluminium SA (Alcasa), Maduro emphasized the organization of workers and the discussion of new forms of collective agreement to advance towards socialism.

He urged increased worker control over production and stated that CVG will have the opportunity to demonstrate, under the direction of workers, that the socialist model is superior to capitalism.

Maduro indicated the creation, in every factory setting, of an agenda that includes concrete decision-making concerning production and growth plans, investment needs and outstanding labor issues.
