LA PAZ, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales on Thursday issued a new law to ratify the Framework Agreement that regulates the country's relationship with the United States.
Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca on Thursday announced the official issue of the new law and asked Washington for "a transparent, respectful, sincere and honest attitude from now on."
Choquehuanca said President Morales endorsed the Framework Agreement as a sign of good faith with an aim of building a more positive and constructive relationship with the United States.
He also said at a press conference later that the ratification came despite the impasse in bilateral relations caused by the Tuesday incident, in which Bolivian authorities seized a U.S. embassy vehicle carrying weapons.
