Much of Venezuela is without power

-------------------------------------------------------------

includes much of Caracas and the 14 other states above. That is a HUGE area Obviously sabotage by the opposition, the US. and Alvaro Uribe meant to coincide with the Syria air strikes.

for example, over 60 alleged assassination plots of Chavez and Maduro over the past 15 years but oddly never one actual attempted assassination.

At least, that's what the now-rotting former president would say.

Jesse Chacón actually said he would quit if in his first 100 days as Energy Minister if the electricity problem wasn't fixed. Who wants to be $10 that he refuses to do so even after this incident? I wouldn't be surprised either if Maduro and his lackeys claim that CIA-trained iguanas sabotaged the whole thing.

8. Yep. He became Minister of Popular Power for Electric Energy (not at all a redundant title)

on April 21. He himself claimed he would resign if the energy problems in the country still persisted in his first 100 days. Maybe they've already passed, but hey, things seem to only be getting worse now, so we'll see how that flies with people. I heard around 75% of the country was left without power today. But of course, all the chavistas here are gonna claim it was sabotage from right-wingers, even when these problems have been persisting for years now.

Outage occurred at peak time of day of energy use in addition to the beginning of the school year. Lying chavistas say sabotage. Remember Maduro militarized the energy sector, whatever that means.

Maduro is already jumping ahead of all other Chavista leaders claiming, even though there hasn't been an investigation yet, that the cause of the blackout was due to right-wingers wanting to issue a coup against the nation's electrical power. I'm just wondering, HOW exactly would they do that? If my memory serves me well, Corpoelec's facilities became militarized a while ago, so how exactly would a "right-wing" saboteur manage to infiltrate himself in there or even subtly cause an entire nationwide blackout? The more Maduro and his lackeys blame other entities for their own incompetence, the more ridiculous they look in everyone's eyes, except of course for the hardcore chavistas who at this point have been pretty much become indoctrinated.

10. Incessant lying is a trait of chavistas

There is apparently an ideal that exists in the mind of the chavista. It is not reality. So when there are craters on the road to socialist perfection, political opponents, real and imagined must be created. Look at the report of the "massive manifestation" in Washington that Telesur reported. I would guess that most of the leadership are simply corrupt and use the rhetoric of socialism and chavez for their own personal gain, however, musch of the followers are indoctrinated including those chavistas here on DU. Posting falsehoods and lies is no trouble at all.
