Paramilitary confessed fathering 24 children with girls under age 14.

Hernán Giraldo Serna, the leader of the former paramilitary group Resistencia Tayrona de las Autodefensas, sexually abused at least 50 girls in Santa Marta region, according to the office of the Colombian prosecutor.
He confessed to raping nineteen women, including girls as young as twelve years old.
He also confessed to fathering twenty-four children with multiple girls who were under the age of 14. The girls were campesinas (rural poor).
Giraldo Serna is 65 years old, and was known as El Viejo or El Patrón.
There were 1,666 members in the paramilitary group he led. The group is responsible for 32 massacres, 639 disappearances, 2454 homicides, 15,312 cases of displacement, and 107 incidents of drug trafficking.
Giraldo Serna demobilized in 2006 and confessed his crimes under the Justice and Peace amnesty program. On May 13, 2008, he was extradited to the U.S. to face drug trafficking charges.
