Related: About this forumVenezuela threatens to expel CNN over protest coverage
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-26283971Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has threatened to expel the US news network CNN from the country over its reporting of recent protests there.
Mr Maduro said he would take action if CNN did not "rectify its coverage".
---------
Last week, the government removed Colombian TV news channel NTN24 from channels offered by Venezuelan cable operators.
The government has been highly critical of international media coverage, while protesters say they are concerned with a lack of media freedom, says the BBC's correspondent in Caracas, Irene Caselli.

(137 posts)1. "rectify it's coverage" sounds suspiciously like,
either report my way or I'm kicking you out.

Basically a debate (in Spanish) between 3 madurista (I refuse to call them chavistas anymore because Chávez is dead, and anyone who currently supports the government is technically a madurista more than anything) students and 3 non-madurista ones (I refuse to call them opposition students because they're not there under the banner of any political party against the regime). Best part? One of the madurista students is Luis Arreaza (the one wearing the Venezuelan flag jacket), nephew of the Vice President, Jorge Arreaza. What I find funny is how some maduristas try to play the race card claiming that only rich, white oligarchs is what the opposition is comprised of, and then you see maduristas like Luis Arreaza, whose appearance is even less humble than any of the non-madurista students, and has very much a white European appearance, just like the "oligarchs".

Translated:
"Says on an international news channel that there's plenty of freedom of speech in her country.
Government bans that same channel the next day"
This was one of the madurista students on the debate, btw.
She was also bothered by the fact that she was called a "burguesita", like maduristas tend to do with opposition. Well, here are some pics regarding that:
It's a general trend for maduristas to be hypocrites, it seems.
