Defeating the Coup with Patience, Peace and Love.

Defeating the Coup with Patience, Peace and Love.
By Les Blough in Venezuela. Axis of Logic
Update March 18, 2014

At 3 a.m. yesterday, March 18, President Maduro sent FANB (the military) to the streets of Chacao in Caracas, the city of San Cristobal in the State of Tachira and the city of Valencia in Carabobo State to begin their work. By mid-day yesterday the streets were cleared of all guarimbas (violent groups) with a thousand national guard and national police patrolling the streets from Los Ruices where the fascists attacked the National Public Television (VTV) to Chacaito near Central Caracas.

In Los Rucias, VTV was under constant, daily attacks for several weeks and it was there that a National Guardsman and a taxi driver were shot to death by snipers from a high rise apartment building while they were trying to remove a street barricade, set up by their assassins who posed as student protestors. Los Ruices has been cleared of these fascists and the streets cleared. In Altamira, they had destroyed a facility that controls the routes of city buses, eliminating any bus service from East Caracas to downtown. The government also replaced that route-control facility and traffic has flowed unimpeded since then. The Metro (subway) stations were also locked down along these routes to prevent attacks of sabotage and have now been reopened and are in full service.

Earlier yesterday, I spoke with a citizen who lives in this upper-middle class area (Los Palos Grande) who told me the people there, including members of the opposition are relieved that the national government has stepped in and put an end to it, restoring services and normalcy to citizens living there. Many of these people have businesses in the city that were affected in addition to disruptions to their daily lives.

Rodriquez Torres, Minister of Interior Relations for Justice and Peace, spoke to the public in Caracas yesterday today sayng that tasks are being performed for cleaning and beautification in the Plaza Francia of Altamira and its surroundings. He said that at three in the morning on Monday the government and the FANB (Venezuelan Military Forces) were deployed throughout the municipality,

"We are restoring the rights of thousands of citizens of Chacao kept sheltered in their homes by the violent actions of groups in this municipality. It is an operation that began in the early morning hours of Monday to recover this space where there had been violence, terrorism and vandalism. Avenida Francisco de Miranda has been divided into five quadrants from Chacaito to Los Ruices, with vital areas and critical points, for intensive patrols in these sectors to return normalcy and calm in this city. It is purely a matter of order and public safety. The Municipal Police continue to operate without any kind of problem. Chacao was the only point in Caracas where the situation of violence has been maintained and this is why we made the decision, by order of the President, to take control of this space.

He's a murdering thug who has handled "this" anything but well.

Here's a link to how "well" he's handled this situation--warning, some images are graphic so I won't put these up here--you'll have to see them at the link, give all of them time to load:

This kind of thing isn't "handling it well:"

And this kid, not the politicians, is who the students are following:

It would be the 3rd time in a month that the government openly lies and shows airsoft guns pretending they're real. For the first two, you can see here:

Or, Hell, even a picture, for that matter. And they don't even bother covering the orange tips of the barrels that clearly indicate they're not real weapons. I'm actually starting to think most government officials have some level of brain damage or suffer from some kind of inherent stupidity like Maduro. They clearly have no clue people can find out about their lies with only a quick internet search. These idiots thought that in today's age they could keep an authoritarian regime alive through force, but they don't seem to realize that with today's information and communication technology and the level of connectivity between the world now, the truth has become very difficult to hide, making dictatorships really not feasible, and making them eventually dissipate. One only need to see the examples in the Middle East to know that.
