My concerns for Cuba is real - unlike for others here, its not some abstract talking point.

if they hadn't learned the U.S. Gov't will NOT send them the checks from their Social Security into which they paid throughout their entire adult lives.

People started looking into that a long time ago.

There are plenty of other places in the world to be an expat. I don't care about that. Cuba will eventually have more than their fair share.

Demetrio Pérez would have tears streaming down his cheeks after seeing his student gushing it all back out that way. She's prepared for heavy duty recitation, any time, any place, until some date in the remote future when politicians no longer can raise campaign war chests on their anti-Cuba rhetoric.

What a shame Joy and her guest didn't bother to get serious about the subject. I had hoped after she finished her screed, the others would get serious and discuss the embargo as adults. Could be Joy doesn't want to rock the boat until she has more time on the job logged at her new program.

Thank you, Mika, for the input. Wouldn't it be great to not be disappointed so often when the topic arises in US corporate media sources?

to hear that one as I'm tired of the plane and Russia stories.

Kudos to Joy Ann and I hope she covers this more. She's from Florida and knows the drill.
