Correo del Orinoco's report on people celebrating carnival instead of demonstrating when the protest stated. Eva Golinger's newspaper, funded by the Venezuelan government, trying to convince people that no one is going to the protests... with a 2 year old picture. .

The website that describes the picture as "Una familia trata de escapar de las bombas lacrimógenas" is not the Reuters site, but the Peruvian site "El Comercio". Reuters, the original source of the picture, does describe it as "Workers of the housing ministry leave the building after anti-government supporters set it on fire in Caracas"
