BOGOTA, April 16 (BERNAMA-NNN-Prensa Latina) -- The head of the Colombian government team in the peace process with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP), Humberto de la Calle, said here that the talks are moving ahead.

After a meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos, in which they reviewed the talks that have been held in Cuba for 17 months, the former vice president said that negotiations are moving forward, Blu Radio station reported.

At the meeting, De la Calle handed the president a detailed report with the results achieved so far in the third point, which is currently addressed by the parties: the solution to the problem of illicit drugs. Furthermore, it was revealed that the entire government peace team will tour 12 cities in the country as part of the reconciliation programme.

During the tour they will meet with mayors and governors to talk about the process and to explain the Colombians why it is important to end the conflict, local media said.
