State-run oil firm Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) signed a deal with oil services companies Halliburton, Schlumberger and Weatherford providing for lines of credit amounting to USD 2 billion.

Minister of Petroleum and Mining and President of Pdvsa, Rafael Ramírez, said that working plans have been established for these companies to increase their activities in the country.

Ramírez added that an agreement with Petrowayuú, where Petrobras and Williams have a stake, was also signed for oil exploration in Concepción field (Zulia state).
