LTTE: U.S. helped create suffering in Honduras

U.S. helped create suffering in Honduras
John Zeitler, Des Moines 11:11 p.m. CDT July 17, 2014

Tens of thousands of Honduran teens and moms with small children are making the 1000 mile trek to the USA. Such a dangerous and expensive undertaking would only happen if their lives were threatened if they stayed home. How did it get so bad in Honduras?

In 2008 Honduras had a duly elected president. But he was friendly to the socialist (horrors!) president of Venezuela. A military coup replaced him with General Romeo Velasquez, a two time graduate of the U.S. Army's School of the Americas. It's nicknamed "school of coups"

We should be doing all we can to mitigate the suffering we helped create in Honduras.
