Fidel Castro says 'pro-imperialist' Ukraine downed jet

http://news.malaysia.msn.com/malaysia-news/fidel-castro-says-pro-imperialist-ukraine-downed-jet

Cuba... must express its repudiation of this action by such an anti-Russian, anti-Ukrainian and pro-imperialist government," the 87-year-old father of the Cuban Revolution wrote in the official newspaper Granma.

Flight MH17 crashed Thursday in eastern Ukraine, where the pro-Western government is battling pro-Russian separatists, sparking a flurry of accusations over who was responsible for apparently shooting it down.

Castro said the plane had been hit while flying "on a route under the control of the bellicose government of Chocolate King Petro Poroshenko," a reference to the confectionery magnate turned Ukrainian president.

In a wide-ranging article headlined "Abnormal Provocation," Castro also accused US President Barack Obama of supporting the Israeli ground assault on the Gaza Strip.

In a communiqué, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs regretted the events reported in Ukraine, and voiced its support to the relatives and friends of the 298 people killed in the Malaysia Airlines plane crashing in Ukraine.

The ministry also called for an inquiry to identify the ones responsible for the jet crash.

Furthermore, the Venezuelan authorities expressed their concerns over the "occurrence of similar events, which destabilize the region, and, indeed, are the result of chaos generated by interfering policies pushed forward by the United States and its NETO allies..."

In this regard, the government called for the end of NATO's interference in order to bring stability to the region.
