I recycle everything the center will take, meaning anything with a triangle and number.

I wear old soda bottles on my feet in the form of Acorn socks. They're even warmer than wool.

The disadvantage is that they're not warm when wet like wool is so I wouldn't wear them for outdoor sports that involve wet feet.
