Corruption Currents: U.S. Judge Identifies Ex-Panama President as Bribery Co-Conspirator

Bribery:
A U.S. federal judge identified the former president of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, as one of several alleged co-conspirators in a bribery scheme that helped SAP SAP.XE -1.31% to sell millions of dollars in software to Panama. His name came up during the sentencing of a former SAP executive; Mr. Martinelli wasn’t charged and a U.S.-based lawyer for him said he has no knowledge of the SAP executive. SAP said it’s cooperating with the investigation. (Reuters)
